thx but is it worth doing on a $300 dollar bike?, i want to switch to a cassette, and possibly disc brakes (using one of those disc brake adapter brackets for bikes without the mount)

ok, at least some of the good parts are interchangable with newer bigger bikes like treks and stuff. in a couple of years once i grow to my max height, i probably but a new bike, with proper mounts...

i have a 300-400 dollar range bike and love it, and if you say 300-700 mongoose's are good then your right. at least theres some shimano and sram components, i dont have problems with the shocks...
