That is corrtect but not the whole story. What they are refering to is the rear rotor and under hard braking there is less weight on the rear tire therefore the rear brake is as effective.

Ok, you guys are the experts here so I'll take your advice and stay with the stock rotors and save my money. I do want to thank you all for your the advice you have given.

I have a Rockshox Dart 3. I dont ride downhill but I am a 280lb rider and the stock brakes dont stop to good. In most brake systems a larger rotor will help that issue.
