Thank you all, I think I will use FBinNY's advice and stick with the old 5/6 speed chain. I found a KMC Z33 116L that seems to be a direct replacement. Thanks again.

I think it is a pre 1986. By 1986-87 they went with aero brakes and from what I can see these are non-aero. Also the paint scheme was not solid like that in 86+. My guess is 1983-84
