No, those are standard 26" rims (559 mm). I think the rim was marked 26 x 1.75". And so the canti posts are as found.

Yep. The mid-80s MTBs seem to have been designed based upon contemporary touring bikes. Using a large-volume 26" tire (e.g. Compass RTP, Maxxis DTH) can bring the wheel diameter close to road-size.

It is indeed a 25.4. Kinda wish is was a 26.0 so I could just swap it in for the existing bars. I’m not excited about shimming, since I’d lose the sweet mouse logo.

Do you know what the frameset weight is for the Cimmaron? I'm happy with the rest of my build (XT drivetrain, RhynoLite wheelset), so I wonder how much penalty there...

That's impressive. I'd be happy if I could get from 32 to 28 lbs.

The wheels are XT/Specialized hubs with RhynoLite rims so not light, but not steel rims for sure. Compass tires are very light...
