I think it's safe to call a double a randonnée, but it doesn't make much sense to call it a brevet. As above, the "brevet" part comes from the card that you get stamped/signed along the way. ...

don't recall seeing this requirement. I would think that most RBA's would want to have a certain amount of confidence that people are going to be able to complete the event
