Understandable. If the bike is still new, ask your LBS and ask if they can swap the tires for wider ones. It may not be too late, if you want to do that.

The bike will handle some off road paths, like crushed gravel or dirt road just fine. I think the stock tires on a Sirrus are 28, right? I also have a Sirrus, but changed my tires to 32 right away,...
