how about this Serotta "T-Max" with ultra tapered Columbus tubin.g. This bike has "go-kart" handling, and faded florescent paint.

the design does have some compromises. Climbing in low gear you can see the rear wheel flopping back and forth.

the "flex web" on mine cracked some years ago. I'm not brave enuff to weld it. ...

does this one count ? Ibis Bow Ti, full suspension with no pivot. It's a leaf spring. they only made about 10 of these. Interesting bike.
