the keystone-fishtail part of the pads for Mafac 'dot' holder-shoes is Narrower than the Campag traditional holder .

But as said the Universals may be different from either . ~o)

Mafac pads have round dots in their faces 4 dot is the road/centerpull /criterium Cantilever .. 5 dot was the longer tandem long arm cantilever


I see KS has a replica 4 dot insert made , now..

If you had a Campagnolo brake with the slip in pad, then you could, but you did say you have a Universal brake , old, & Italian, but another company entirely..

Suggest: Buy the Koolstop...
