IMHO, every commuting bike (outside the desert) should have fenders. They'll have to be installed ($45) on the Randonee, so there goes half that price advantage.

The best bike is the one that gets ridden all the time. The worst bikes are those that sit in a garage or basement and collect dust. So pick the one that you like the most, that's the one...
