Power to weight is key. They probably have more power relative to their weight vs any other dude in sports. Put them on a boxing match and pure power will most likely win though.

There is also more contact in soccer so you'd be better off having some muscle mass to defend yourself against being knocked down while in possession of the ball... however, it doesn't seem like it...
