We got wet too, but that flooded stretch in your photo was still dry on the left side when we went through there, and we were hanging out in the brewery at the finish during the late-afternoon rain....

Lights and reflective gear are only required here if you are riding in the dark, and this is the first time I have ever finished a 200k or the second day of a 600k in the dark, so 90+% of the time...
