I dropped 6lbs from my bike but I had other mods done too. Hard to say how much came from the fork alone.

Very Nice! The Crossrip fork does make a huge difference plus you can't beat the price. The amount of weight removed from the front of the bike is significant like you said. I wouldn't hesitate to do...

I wouldn't be too concerned about the Isozone, Trek uses it on other bikes like the Boone and some of the high end road bikes.

Having said that I would go with the 2015 8.5 DS and upgrade the...

Get the 8.5 DS. The upgrades are worth it if your going to ride off-road a lot. The limiting factor with these bikes are the forks, specifically the amount of travel they have. My 2012 8.5 DS had...

I'm 6'3 and my 2012 DS is a 21 inch frame. The stretched out position on my bike fits me perfect as I have a long reach. My Fuel EX8 is the same size and that's a full suspension bike.

Get the color you want. You can always swap out parts at any time. Some bike shops will give you credit for take off parts if you do it at the time of purchase. My shop does this.

The Crossrip fork isn't as long as the suspension fork that was originally on the bike. The riding position is similar to a drop bar road bike but a little more upright. It's really very comfortable....

The Crossrip fork works fine. It does change the geometry a little bit but I like it. The bike isn't as bolt upright and feels more nimble.

Thanks! I think it's more like D$$$. The only thing not changed on the bike is the brakes and wheels. Might upgrade the brakes to SLX next year. I think I've spent enough money on it this year. Here...
