Ortlieb now sells a support strap,which I use to deal with that issue. It's not perfect but it does help. I'm not sure which model year it is. What's the difference? I ordered it in June.

Thanks. I believe the panniers were around 25lb each and the drybag was about 5lb. So ~55lbs total. The handling when loaded is a bit of a handful at lower speeds on rough terrain. Once I get it...
