In my case the part that broke is the little adapt-a-gazoink that goes between the bar-clip and the camera itself. A cheap part, but a part that shouldn't break that easily.

My GoPro mount proved to be no match for chip'n'seal roads. It vibrated so much it snapped off. The camera itself survived just fine, leaving me with an interesting bit of video.

Those straps look too narrow to be comfortable at all. It might work for very light loads, but it looks like it would be painful for anything else.
