But if you must, there are mini corks made specifically for the job. I think they are silly, but if it floats your boat, by all means, knock yourself out.

YJ tires are perfectly acceptable as a spare, nothing else.

The only downside to tubulars is price. Lower volume, higher prices.

And I used those Tufo Diamond 28s on a commuter. Tough tire and OK roll.

That seems about right for pressure. On my 27mm tubulars I run about 80 front/90 rear. But i'm 185. Those guys are 140/150.

I used the YJs for 1 season, probably 2-3K miles on that bike. Never used Conti Giro.

They were round. They weren't lumpy. As near as I could tell, there was little to no wear (first red flag)....

I'm thinking those may be the valve holes. And for cleaning, if the glue isn't completely dry, it will just fill your wire brush and make it worthless. Also for "wet" glue, mineral spirits works...
