By LBS recommended SKS P55 for this bike, so that's what I'm getting (black). Now I can tell my wife how much I saved by not buying wooden fenders! :)

It's a roof rack with an arm that clamps onto the down rack. The concern isn't the rack interfering with the fender, it is the wind rattling the fenders at highway speeds.

I got for 25% off retail price since it was used, plus I didn't have to pay sales tax (private seller, not the LBS), so I'm happy with the value (as well as the bike).
