Buy a bike that is designed for what you want to do, fits you, and make sure it feels comfortable. Don't worry about your weight your not that heavy. I am 320 and ride a full carbon road bike.

Well gatorskin hardshell are just very hard to beat. I loved the 4000's also but did not hold up and lots of flats. We got goat heads here I wont ride nothing but the hardshells.
