I think I pretty much just got the wrong sized frame back when I bought the trek...

I have an old Schwinn collegiate that I am thinking of converting to a single speed by stripping everything off (shifters and derailleurs) and just running the chain on one of the front chainrings...

What do you think is causing this drivetrain noise?

Happens only when pedaling and sounds like the chain is rubbing the frame or something but it definitely isnít...
