Thanks guys. I took it back, and the back DR was adjusted. I took for a spin around the shop, and the problem seems to have been fixed. But I'll have to take it on the commute to be sure.

I lock the U lock onto the side of my back rack and then velcro the lock to another part of the rack. Snug as a bug. Leaves plenty of room for my panniers.
