The Fuji World that I linked above, which they produced for a handful of years, had a carbon fork that had threaded inserts for a lowrider rack. That's the only way you do it, I think.

It did have a carbon fork, which isn't great if you're planning on loading it up....

The World is definitely more bike than the others. I'm sorry they quit selling it . . . unless it's really dogged out I'd agree—go for it.

Cane Creek Direct Curve levers. Affordable, functional, & nice-looking, although I guess the latter is in the eye of the beholder.

I might reconsider the Old Man Mountain. The OMM White Rock doesn't break the bank—it's around $50—and is going to be more elegant and secure than a brake bridge mount.
