This place is great. I am 65 years old and up until a couple years ago the only bicycle I'd ever ridden was a single speed with coaster brakes when I was a kid.

With all the help here I was able to figure out where my mistake had been. One, I've been using a flimsy bike stand leading to 2, not wrapping tight enough. Thanks everyone for the help

I've watched some videos on this and several say you can wrap cloth tape from the middle of the bars down. So do you wrap around the brake hoods the same way you would coming from the opposite...

I put the Brooks on the Ironman just to try it out. The Ironman had a cheaper cushy seat in it when I got it. The Brooks will probably end up in my Miyata 912

I just put a Brooks saddle on my 89 Ironman. I like the saddle except my butt keeps wanting to slide on it.
My other ironaman has a Fizik saddle which is more comfortable to me.
