I noticed 2 styles of brake calipers on Raleigh Sports, one having longer pad mounts than the other. Is this a case of short for the front, long for the rear or was the design changed at some point?

I recall someone using a plastic Presta valve cap as a stopgap replacement oil cap. Just screw it in tapered end first. Works fine on one I have and stays put as opposed to tape.
