If you do not mind the cost (about $17) the Aligator shark tooth shaped rotors are quiet (so far) on my BB7 and on Elixirs. For me changing the pads did not help.

could you share actual stand over height measured from the floor to the top of the top tube? I just got 54 Ridley and I measured 832 mm (as it came from the box) compared to 870 what Ridley claims....

the Ridley was delivered today, 54 size and the actual standover height is 832 mm or 32 and 3/4" (see the calc in the OP, I estimated it to be 838 minus some distance the head tube...

I did not use seat tube in my calcs. Compared to my road bike the 54 x-fire has the same reach and top tube. The standover on x-fire is crazy high but that is the reason for my OP - my calculations...

The chain installation is directional, meaning that the chain is several times stronger when installed correctly (side plates should pull). See Shimano or maybe Park tool instructions.

Shimano advice - wipe the new chain with a cloth and a bit of solvent to remove outside oil, ride and lube as normal.

I have Park Tools glue-less patches but so far I was reluctant to to use them on road tubes. Did they work for you?

I did FSA Gossamer COmpact with 10 speed Shimano rear (11-25 or is it 12-25?) and Ultegra tripple FD on 2 bikes. Works perfect. It feels like the chainline is shifted a bit favoring small chainring....
