On a recent 5 week tour I spent about $1000 just on food. I donít cook and eat whatever I want. No special diet. Iím hungry all the time.

i donít train but ride a leisurely 50 miles per week....

My touring bike is also my everyday city bike. 36 spokes and 26Ē wheels for me. I go over a lot of curbs. No spoke problems ever in 3 years. I donít weight much so that helps.

That's how I did it.
It isn't obvious at all if your particular train will have room for a bike or not...

There could be some wet spots that require patience. 35mm tires would be preferred.
