Makes sense as my non butted chromo frame is my most rigid steel frame. Even though it's generic chromoly.

TY sir! Not a GT, actually a Spicer. Heavy straight guage chromo, but stiff with the triple triangle plus wishbone stays. Carbon fork, wheelset, and components are decently light for parts bin build....

No way 85 gear inches is faster unless totally flat and never any wind. I picked up speed on one of my fixed gear bikes by going from mid 70s to just under 70 just this past summer. Spin to win!
