Thats very innovative!
For a budget build that's will save the cost of new levers. I probably have 7 or 8 sets of similar levers in parts bin.

The bars on my Passage are Soma Oxford bars which I think are fairly similar to the Nitto Albatross bars.

I also have the aluminum alloy version (preferred over the steel version)...

When loaded pretty heavy, say 30 lbs. or so I can feel some rear wiggle but nothing too terrible and with groceries I'm usually not going far...
