I don't see it as any different than running taillights day and night. A "detection beacon" could actually be fully passive, like a corner reflector, but I'd be down with putting on a beacon too....

I can't walk 5 minutes in a suite at 85F without sweating a fair amount. Heck, I don't think I could just stand still for 5 minutes in those conditions without sweating.
