They were brass nipples. No power driver was used. The maximum tension on the nipples was 130KgF. I'm wondering if the holes were to big.

It was my fault I used the wrong spoke wrench...

It was my fault I used the wrong spoke wrench 3.45 of stead of 3.3 this caused it to shear the head off

Surly Ogre running Rohloff with Pinhead Lock Nuts

Problem solved:

Pinhead M10 Wheel Locks torqued to 35Nm as per Rohloff Spec.

They fit nicely over the original Rohloff washer and are plenty thick enough to cover the thread of the spindle.
