Is it possible to shorten the chainline without getting a new BB?

I have a 50mm chainline, just got a new FD that requires a 45mm chainline. Is getting a new BB the only way to solve this?

Thanks,

Precisely what I was thinking. 30 miles to anyone under 200lbs and a 20mph average is way less than 2000 calories. Any 30 mile ride for the average person would be more like 1,000-1,500 calories tops.
