If you carry any type of tape, just carry Gorilla tape and be done with. Enve uses Gorilla tape for their tubeless rims so it should be strong enough as a tire boot.

My Salsa/Revelate bag was not made for my frame, but it fits well and velcro straps don't hide my S&S couplers. I think Velcro straps help to fit tight.
