Exactly. CX-Ray are 4.3g a spoke, brass nipples about 1g. Happily trade 40g a wheel in my case for the extra 8 spokes to have 36 spokes. Using bladed negates the aero drag of the extra spokes too.

I would definitely recommend the light bicycle 55 or 66 as suggested by twocircle. I built with 55mm 36 hole with CX-Ray, they are superb for tandem use. All up with bike we are 156kg 343lb team.
