the last time I tried road tubeless, it was on 23mm wide tires at 100psi. I wasn't impressed.

Tires were very expensive, and the ride wasn't noticeably different.

I concur.

7800 shifting and hubs were so smooth, the brakes were great, and the crankset was beautiful.

7800 isn't as beautiful as C-Record, but it worked much better.
