Yes we put in a spindle, cranks (same chain ring size) and a set of pedals from our "salvage" stock along with new bearings and grease....

Among the bike donations last week was this one, the NDS spindle was sheared off. It did not show any signed of being cut, it looked like it snapped.

The rest of the bike was pretty decent looking...

Check the seating of the front tire on the rim (deflate and re-inflate if needed) and that the axle is properly seated into the fork dropouts.
