The best advice I can give is don't aim for a cactus as I have accidently done a couple of times on my mountain bike. Guess that doesn't apply as much to road cycling though.

When it got up to 203 I felt like I was straining, and a few times going up some of the other hills, but on flat ground I was consistantly over 180 and it wasn't too bad.
