I find that modern built frames are pretty damn...

I find that modern built frames are pretty damn strong (except for those weight weenie stuff). The weak link is usually the wheels.

rule of thumb:
Avoid fancy wheels
Avoid suspensions

Yep, that's my local path. It's not an MUP, btw, bikes only. I only ride early in the morning there, so I've never seen any trouble.

It's always good to carry pepper spray and cell phone.
