Ok thanks. The little piece that hooks onto the noodle broke off. The boodle is fine, it's the little caliper that it catches that broke.

Eh, I don't see how it could more expensive really. At least in my case.
14.5 miles one way. 29 miles round trip. Car gets around 26-27 mpg. So I save a gallon a day. Which as of today in my area...

It is permitted here in fact its a part of bike route 76 and we saw tourers all summer long but they are only on it for a few miles, maybe 8.

Well, what kind of roads are you riding on? Take that into account. I ride a Trek 7.1 FX hybrid, but I ride on the should of a busy freeway with a lot of loose gravel.

Well I got my Trek 7.1 in Oct of last year and already replacing them. Back tire got a big slash in it almost exposing the tube. I got the Bontrager H4 in, gonna give those a shot.
