I would replace the brake pads with kool stops, and probably the handlebars. I find straight bars uncomfortable.
My 94 Crosscut came stock with butterfly bars.

And she is out! A better wrench was all i needed. Now to get a replacement. If you look closely there are some metal shavings in the grease. i could not find a source for this after i cleaned it up....
