The 6400 is an older version, now discontinued. It's still available all over the place in the EU, though, often on clearance.
The 6500 is pretty much the same, but has more of the rubbery coating....

That's right. The edges of the flat middle part are folded up to form the track. The swing arm is separate.
When you slide the bag on, it locks the arm down. The whole setup is very stable.
