Not sure about that. Also, all the pre-built wheelsets are 24H. With a custom wheelset you can get however many you want. Personally I went with 32H on the 700c and 28H on the 650b for peace of mind.

While I wouldn't normally quibble about a few mm, the reason I went with a 650 was to get 48mm over the 42mm max of the 700cc width.
