Those '85s are really smooth riders and the forks are the best looking of all the Ironman.
Also the '85s aren't easy to come by. When you find one in your size, seize it.

No odd number increments. However, I've noticed the early Ironman ('85, '86) tend to be a bit taller in the headtube. But the seat tube remained the same....

It's not a 650b conversion however I think my Comp TA may have been made to run 27 inch wheels.

I actually had one, of course it was a bit smaller. It was light and right, my son owns it now.
Until you actually see this color scheme in person...
