you are missing a rubber shim. You can proberly make one.
the mezzo seatpost has no slippage issues.
it can crack as there is a degign fault.

most folders can be fast if set up right imo

Dual drive mezzo and downtube real flyers. Brompton was great out of the saddle but needed more gears.
