One would have to be real selective of the roads you take considering you're blocking 1/3 of it. Also it wouldn't be possible to drag it into the woods for a stealth camp.

The only problem was the rear dropouts only have one set of eyelets. Mounting fenders and a rack took some creativity. The front rack is an Old Man Mountain that mounts with the skewer.

I'm just going to echo that Sudbury all the way to Winnipeg is not recommended. Many cyclists have been killed through there. It's a shame because there are some beautiful areas up there.

Those cheap bottle dynamos are junk. There's an episode of the Simpson's where Bart uses one, the resistance is very heavy.

Your best off finding a Shimano dynamo wheel on eBay.

I'd just switch on Bicycle routes in Google Maps and cache the whole route. There's lots of free OSM apps that will tell you where to eat. Garmin's City Navigator iPhone app is also pretty good.
