Personally, I think the road is suicide for a six-year old. The bike path is the best way to go. She can learn a lot of safety skills there. Hopefully you will know when she's ready to transition...

I have a question... and I realize I could ask my doctor or my physical therapist, but my knee bothers me when I bike. I have tired to build up the muscles around it, but still find it to be painful....
