I would think that small frames, with short head tubes, are more susceptible to this type of damage, just by virtue of the leverage...

If you’re staying with center pull brakes, grind the brake cable hanger, not the fork. Hold it centered while you tighten the headset locknut. Once that is tight, you’ll be good.:thumb:
