On closer inspection, chain is BENT. Looking at chain from atop, (with good chainline) most links are straight, but 3-4 are clearly angled/bent eg 10-15 degrees.

Tube size for a 35c tire?

For my commuter (cross bike) which has 35c slicks on 700c Campy road rims.

Performance has super thick thorn resistant tubes. Nice to avoid flats in the 20 mile commute (especially in winter).

The sharp pain is intermittent and only with movement (eg walking).
I think it's more in the hip flexor region than groin.
