Taking a carbon fiber fork off small drops

What is the risk of going over drops of a few inches with the carbon fiber fork on a Trek 7.5 FX? Will it crack and catastrophically fail?

Trek 7.5 FX Durability

Is it safe to continuously ride my 7.5 FX on bumpy and broken roads, occasionally taking it off small drops of a few inches or so? I'm not sure how tough the carbon fiber fork is.

Well, my Cobia currently has 29x2.25 tires. The 8.4 DS uses 700x38c tires. I'm fairly sure I could put 700x38c tires on the Cobia without any trouble. If I did, I'm wondering how it would ride...
