Campagnolo EPS V2 battery + V3 Interface

I have a V2 batteries that I'd like to use on a new build, but frame doesn't have the hole required for the charging point.

Anyone know if I can use a V3 interface unit with a V2 battery?

I've got a mid 80's Haden Brothers catalogue which I'm about to put in recycling box, which seems a shame.
