Grew up in Carnegie years ago...many years ago and it sounds like things haven't changed in the greater pittsburgh area. lol I'm 47 yo now and get funny looks regardless of what bike I'm riding.

I put Avid shorty 6 brakes on mine and they do okay. Mine made a bunch of noise and shuddered initially, but after readjusting the pads and switching the rear pads (Avid rim wranglers) they improved...

I run the Salsa Woodchippers ad really like them. I switched from an inexpensive (Performance brand) ergo bar and it was killing me, the Woodchipper was instant relief. The hand position is spot-on...

I just ordered a pair of Jagwire inline adjusters for my bike. Although my brakes are fine without it, I like the idea of being able to take up the slack during a ride as the pads wear.
