I just shipped a complete extra large MTB from Washington state to Calif. $49.00 using Amtrak, (40 pounds max) They have bike boxes for sale for $15.00 also. I heard greyhound is even cheaper.

It's like the roadbike binderbolt...I have the 1985 pink team stumpjumper...here is a scan. The one I'm using now is the normal length binder bolt, think it's like 22mm or so.

I use the LubriMatic marine grease, it's green...

Use U Brakes in place of roller cam brakes?

I have a 1985 Stumpjumper frame with the chainstay brake mounts, I believe this bike came with roller cam brakes, although I don't have those...I do have a set of U brakes from a bit later...

Can anyone tell me what this stem is? I may be getting the bike it's installed on tomorrow and am confused about this stem, it's late 80's or early 90's Univega Alpina Pro mountain bike.
