Possibly my best day ever. Started innocently enough, I picked up a decent Yakima bike rack that fits my camper, $10. Since I was already close to full up on bikes this trip, and its only week one, I...

I’m a Frank Berto guy and the Vx Luxe GT is the winner. I keep a drawer full of these in preparation of the Zombie apocalypse. OK kidding on the zombies but not on the drawer full.

When the...

Getting ready for a big camping trip, so it was time to update the Cimarron. I picked up a 1991 Shogun Prairie Grinder last week (not my size) and decided its XT parts "belonged" on my Cimarron....

For your announced plans, I would avoid any older used MTB with a suspension front fork. Chances are its either shot or will be soon. Meanwhile, rigid forks just keep on going and going.

Geometry...

+100 Don't single out a particular model or brand. Instead, look for a good vintage MTB in your size. Yes, SF is a more expensive market.
